Director, Adam Turner has over 30 year’s experience in the industry, focusing on retail, commercial and industrial construction.
A qualified chartered surveyor, he looks after all commercial aspects of the business and has built a strong reputation in performance delivery and relationship management based on an open, flexible attitude.
Adam prides himself on forging long term relationships, having worked with key clients including, Waitrose and Safe Store, for over 15 years. He also applies this ethos within UC Build; hand picking trusted ex-colleagues, with a proven track record of working together, to create a highly effective team.
Robert Gott has over 15 year’s experience in residential, commercial and retail construction. Before founding UC Build, Rob built a successful career – rising quickly from an assistant site manager to project managing multi-million pound schemes.
Rob is responsible for all operational aspects of the business and is the lead for health & safety and our environmental impact. His strengths lie in building strong relationships all along the supply chain and his ability to provide adaptable solutions, before any problems arise.
Neil Hennessey is an operations director for UC Build North and is responsible for developing new business opportunities whilst overseeing the delivery of construction projects across the region. He previously headed up the regional retail business for Mace and has worked with many multi-national, blue chip clients such as John Lewis, Sainsburys, Asda, Primark, McArthur Glen, Nuveen, Waitrose, Land Securities, Allied London, WM Morrisons, WeWork, Safestore and Metro Bank.
Neil has over 23 years’ experience in the business and brings a proactive and tenacious approach. Whether the project is a new build, refurbishments or a roll out of major capital schemes, he ensures best value and quality of the product and service are consistently delivered.
James Halksworth is an operations director for UC Build North and is responsible for the commercial side of the construction projects in the region.
James studied his degree in quantity surveying and has progressed to commercial director, working for industry heavyweights RGCM and Mace, on major retail accounts including, with many multi-national, blue chip clients such as John Lewis, Sainsburys, Asda, Royal Mail, Primark, McArthur Glen, Nuveen, Waitrose, Land Securities, Allied London, WM Morrisons, WeWork, Safestore and Metro Bank.
He brings 21 years of experience to the business and has been involved in managing major build projects from tender/negotiation, to all aspects of procurement through to the final account stage.
James’ drive and enthusiasm for the right result, coupled with his professionalism ensures he delivers a project to the commercial satisfaction of every client.
Economics degree-educated Ross progressed quickly through the project management ranks to lead large scale projects, before running his own groundworks business for 5 years.
Persuaded back to work for UC Build, he is a brilliant project manager, with a non-contractual and friendly approach. Frequently requested to lead large projects from our key clients, he is an invaluable member of the UC Build team, and reports directly to the board.
Steve is a former roofer who progressed seamlessly into construction management. A strong leader, he currently delivers our most complex and challenging schemes.
Steve drives the highest standards in health and safety and delivery. The natural lead for our construction mentoring scheme, he is an effective communicator and is well liked at all levels from clients to the site labour workers.
Senior Project Manager
Nick is the lead of our project feasibility team with over 10 year’s experience, managing retail and airport construction including high-end commercial projects.
Technically adept, he’s detail-orientated approach ensures that he assesses all aspects of a project during the planning stage. Nick’s genuine desire to excel, ensures that he continuously delivers the best solutions for a project.
Pre-Contract & Design Manager
Bryony Levermore is the pre-contract and design manager at UC Build. With 12 year’s experience, in the construction industry, she provides project and design management, undertakes tendering and feasibility studies and problem solves and provides site specific solutions. Her eye for detail make her the perfect candidate to manage and audit the company practices to ensure they meet our ISO standards.
Bryony is also, our CCS champion and helps support client’s to achieve their own sustainability targets. She is often found rustling up volunteers, for community projects, in the UC Build office.
Senior Construction Manager
Degree-qualified Dan has over 10 year’s experience in retail, residential and student accommodation.
An integral part of the team, Dan is hard-working and committed. His ability to think on his feet, means he is the best person to deliver our schemes in a live working environment.
